CIM Students Take 1st & 3rd in the ACI Concrete Construction Competition

Students from ASU's Concrete Industry Management program formed three teams to compete in this year's Concrete Construction Competition produced by ACI. This is a "paper" competition where students are given one week to devise a solution to a concrete related problem statement. This year's statement related to prevention of shrinkage cracks in bridge deck replacements and overlays. All three of the teams from ASU's CIM program placed in the top 10 (out of 33 teams from engineering and construction programs around the country that competed), with one of them placing third. Students from Middle Tennessee State's CIM program placed first. The top three teams are invited to present their solutions at the ACI Convention in Tampa, FL in April.

Congratulations! The CIM programs are turning out some great future leaders for the industry!
