NJIT Promotes CIM

Wilton Arellano, a CIM Senior, wrote:
“A student feedback session, hosted by the Engineering Technology student representative from Student Senate, met today in order to connect the voices of the students to the department. Many topics were covered such as the relevancy of course work, any issues with access to machine rooms, facility quality, and internship/Co-Op opportunities. I used this meeting to represent CIM to those who might have been searching for other options within the Engineering Technology Department. After the specifics of the meeting were over, I called the attention of the room and pitched the benefits of working in the concrete industry and joining the CIM program. Many were intrigued by the positive prospects of the industry and the diversity of the program, mixing technical knowledge in concrete while honing construction management and business management skills. I was able to give away many CIM pamphlets as well as build a good rapport with the department student representative. Through this the program garner much more attention within the department, as well as bring to light the opportunities for a future in the concrete industry. “

Thank you Wilton for your great effort and the photos.
