CIM at CONEXPO-CON/AGG

Today, Tuesday, March 22, was another long day for NJIT-CIM students. It started with a long waited visit to Hoover Dam on the border between the states of Nevada and Arizona. Then we started the ConAgg ConExpo conference activities.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the international gathering place for the construction industries. Held every three years, the exposition showcases the latest equipment, products, services and technologies. The event features:

• Over 2,000 exhibitors

• A comprehensive education program during the five-day exposition with sessions emphasizing industry issues and trends, management and applied technology

• Product concentration areas making it easy for visitors to locate specific products, services and exhibitors of interest to them including hundreds of new products and technologies

NJIT-CIM students along with MTSU students took shifts at the CIM booth. The students who were not on the shifts were going around the huge area of the conference distributing CIM brochures and promoting the program. Some of our students got some internships potentials in the summer. One of MTSU-CIM students (Greg) won an IPad for getting the highest score in one of the competitions organized by BASF all day long. NJIT-CIM students met with so many people today:

Mike Campion, and Jamie Gentoso at Sika booth

Larry and John Silvi, Silvi Group at CIM Booth

Mike Schneider, CIM Chairman and Dr. Heather Brown, MTSU CIM Director at CIM Booth

This is in addition to meeting all other CIM students from MTSU and Arizona State Universities.

Mohamed Mahgoub, PhD, PE, NJIT CIM Program Director
