ASU's Engineering College Design Winner Selected

ASU Service ProjectIn the fall of 2011, the Engineering College at ASU approached Dr. Ernzen asking if the students in the CIM program could help repair a patio used for student gatherings. This request turned into a student project for the CIM 405 course. The students were required to develop a solution which included creating a design, preparing cost estimates and construction schedules. Industry mentors were assigned to assist the students and they presented their results to the Engineering College personnel who judged their work.

The winning design, shown here, is a 16' round slab which represents the Engineering College at ASU. The design includes the ASU sunburst logo which will be acid etched and stained ASU maroon. The outer ring will be finished with recycled glass aggregate.

  1. Great design by Josh Marriott. Can't wait to get started on the install. I'll submit progress pictures once we get rolling.
