At the May 5 National Steering Committee (NSC) Board of Directors meeting, Eugene Martineau, Executive Director provided a "Path Forward" update on the program. The program is currently at the end of the initial five year financial commitment to expansion and has expanded from one to five established programs with fully functioning patrons groups. The NSC and its committees are performing activities as outlined by the long range plan and outside revenues account for well over 50% of annual revenues. Most importantly, enrollment in the CIM program has grown from 100 to well over 550 today.
The next steps, as outlined by Martineau, include the continuing development of the CIM Executive MBA program which is targeted to launch in fall of 2012 as well as targeting new funding resources/commitments with a concentraton on the continued growth of the annual CIM Auction at The World of Concrete. Moving forward, the NSC will also be finalizing the development of a program funding formula as well as development of a collaborative research network throughout CIM. A focus will be placed on the development of a Continuous Quality Improvement and Compliance Certification (CQICC) which will include a 5 year audit of each program tied to ROI.
Finally, the NSC will be reviewing its structure and roles moving forward, as well as succession planning for both officers and executive director, to ensure it continues to best serve the CIM program and the industry.
The "Path Forward" will be formally discussed at a special meeting in Dallas on July 12, 2011.
