CSUC CIM Students Part of Project to Preserve Historic Prison

A small group of Chico State University students are on Alcatraz right now, working to preserve chunks of "The Rock."


The concrete industry management students are using their education while working as National Park Service volunteers, according to a press release from Chico State.

This year marks the second run of the Concrete Industry Management Preservation Field School.*

The project has students working closely with experts in the field for hands-on experience. The program will return to Alcatraz every year until 2015 at least.
