The project for WOC 2012 will be an "East Meets West" design with portions of the Golden Gate Bridge colliding with the Brooklyn Bridge, representing the CIM programs across the country. The project managers will be Andrew Billingsley and Clark Branum. Andrew is a recent Chico State CIM graduate who is currently teaching in the Chico program before leaving for graduate school next fall. Clark is a recognized expert in decorative concrete who is a lecturer with the Chico program's decorative concrete class and works for Diamatic. Michael Eastergard of Preitech, is donating the formwork for the project as well as his expert industry input for this year's project as he has generously done for the two previous projects.

"East Meets West" Focus of Student Artistry Project at WOC
After two successful years of Concrete Industry Management Student Artistry projects at World of Concrete, a team of students from the CIM University consortium is ready to embark on the 2012 project. Past projects have included a 10-foot tall concrete memorial to the firefighters who lost their lives in New York City on 9/11 for WOC 2010 and an 8-foot tall replica of the first lighthouse on the west coast at Alcatraz Island during WOC 2011.
